History of the publisher
Polish Business Magazine has existed since 1996. It was in 1996 when the first issue of the magazine came out under the above-mentioned title. However, in 1995 the pioneering edition of the Polish Aviation was published on the occasion of the Dubai Airshow (UAE). It soon became the forerunner of the future edition. It is worth mentioning that this particular number was completed by the future editorial team of the Polish Business Magazine. The establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Saudi Arabia in 1995 was sort of an excuse for publishing the first issue of the magazine under the present title in 1996. The entire issue focused on the promotion of Polish companies in the countries of the Gulf region.
This so-called “Arab” inspiration has not had a decisive influence on the direction of the magazine. Over the years, Polish Business Magazine editions have been published on the occasion of important economic and social events in African countries (4/1999, 2/2005), South-East Asia (1/2008, 1/2009), including China (4/1999, 2/2010), South America (3/2008) and certainly Europe (1-2 /2000, 2/2011 – the issue published on the occasion of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council ) and Russia (3/1996, 2/1998). Each issue dealt with a particular region or group of countries (seldom if ever a single country), hence its distribution was a priority there. Therefore, ‘Special Edition(s) note appeared in order to indicate the uniqueness of each issue. It was not a marketing gimmick, because all the editions were treated in a special way.
Being at the press market for many years, Polish Business Magazine has not avoided minor slips (print and graphics flaws, factual and linguistics errors in texts) which were common to this type of periodicals at the beginning of their activity. Having its ups and downs we always tried to keep a good standard of publishing. Our Magazine, as a result of such policy, has never experienced serious problems on a rapidly developing press market in Poland. The final outcome of numerous changes in ownership was that Polish Business Magazine had eventually been taken over by the current editorial team.
Due to the fact that we have gained vast experience and established business contacts over the past several years, the Polish Business Magazine definitely wish to increase its presence on the Internet. We are planning to launch our on-line business platform soon, which will be a natural complementary to the Magazine. In this day and age, it is hard to imagine a modern business, which would not be, at least to some extent, rooted in the Web.
We are aware of the fact that a professional website does need considerable financial resources, if it has the ambition to become something more than a repetition of the printed publications. Therefore, Polish Business Magazine is looking for a strategic investor (including a foreign one), who would be able to support this project as a business partner. It will be the opportunity for our Magazine to achieve rapid development. On the other hand, the future investor would pave its way to enter Polish market with a recognized brand and manage to strengthen its image as well as to improve the financial results of the company.
